Friends of Brighter Tomorrows,

We are in the business of providing hope for a brighter tomorrow to women and men facing domestic violence and sexual assault. Last year (2013) we served over 500 victims of domestic violence and 67 survivors of sexual assault by providing them with advocacy, support, and safe housing when needed. We rely solely on grants and the generous support of community members and local businesses to carry-out our mission. However, unfortunately, Monroe County’s need is greater than our existing budget can handle.

We hope we can count on you to help us provide a brighter tomorrow to the women, men and children in Monroe County.

Here is a list of 10 ways you can help:

  • Volunteer – call us and see how you can donate your time (i.e. become a Night- Time On-call Volunteer Advocate, share a meal/share a skill at our monthly support group or help with a special event.)
  • Donate toiletries (e.g., shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, lotion, tissue, toilet paper, etc.)
  • Donate new or gently used household items (e.g., silverware, dishes, towels, bedding, small furniture, etc.)
  • Provide household cleaning items (e.g., laundry detergent, soaps, vacuum cleaner, broom, etc.)
  • Donate art supplies (e.g., paper, cards, yarn, beads, etc.)
  • Gift of toys for children of all ages (e.g., coloring books, crayons, family movies, puzzles, games, etc.)
  • Donate school supplies (e.g., notebooks, markers, pencils, glue, colored pencils, etc.)
  • Provide gift cards for gas, food, clothing, or other needed items
  • Spread the word- let family and friends know about Brighter Tomorrows and how he/she can help make a difference
  • Donate money – to help support the needs of our program
